How long does it take to get a UAE passport?
New Passport-
- General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs/Citizenship Departments (GDRFA)
- Online through the UAE citizenship portal
Passport Renewals-
- Passport renewals can be done on an emergency basis at the Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah airports.
Passport Replacements-
Passport Replacements can be done at a UAE embassy in the country you are in. The UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will issue an emergency passport, having a validity of six months from the date of issuance.
How long is a passport good for?
Documents Required for applying for a UAE passport-
- Original and a copy of the Emirates ID card
- Original and a copy of the family book
- A recent photo.
In addition to these documents, a copy of the old passport needs to be submitted in the case of passport renewals.
